In 1999, we developed a method to predict horn length at maturity. The horn formulas were derived from statistical analysis of measured horn data for both cows and bulls. The results of this analysis were published in the December 1999 issue of the Texas Longhorn Journal. To access these formulas to predict the horn at maturity for your animals, we have created a simple procedure for you to do these calculations here!! All you need is 2 dates (birth date and measurement date) and the horn measurement, so just click on the link. |
